For the first time we decided to share the ranking of the Top 10 Brands in the World. Please be aware data includes only 2/3 wheeler in the scooter, underbone, moped and motorcycles category. This mean that Tuk Tuk are not included and ATV/RUV or kick scooter neither.
As we just announced, in 2024 the global global motorcycles industry (including moped, scooter, motorcycles, underbone) established the new all time record sales, beating the 2018 record and recovery near 10 million sales from 2020 negative peak.
A really great momentum for the industry, which is expected to keep growing during the next decade.
Here we report on the ranking of the best selling manufacturer in the World.
The 2024 leader, as in the last 50 years is Honda, with a market share of 32% consolidated the absolute dominion on the industry. This year Honda reported sales up 6.0% at 19.4 million, with Bosnia (+127.9%), Albania (+112%) and Ukraine (+100.8%) as the fastest growing markets
The second place there is the Indian Hero Motor confirming the ranking with 5.9 million sales (+6.9%). The podium of the fastest markets for Hero includes Costa Rica (+184%), Nigeria (+184 %) and Sri Lanka (+54.3%).
Yamaha stands in third place with 4.6 million (+4.2%), skyrocketing in Mongolia (+268.9%), Turkey (+87.3%) and Romania (+86.9%).
Yadea, the EVs specialist, is in fourth place with 4.3 million (-13.0%) sales, with the fastest growing market represented by Cambodia, Pakistan and Moldova.
TVS Motor, is the 5th with 3.7 million sales (+12.6%) and the top growing countries are Sri Lanka, Germany and Ukraine.
Bajaj Auto is in sixth place with3.1 million sales (+9.3%) thanks to the strong domestic performance, with South Africa (+227%), Brazil (+168%) and Nigeria (+76.5%) as the fastest growing markets.

Suzuki ranks in seventh place with 2.0 million sales (+6.1%), followed by the fastest brand out of the top, Italika with 1.3 million sales (+35.8%).
In 9th place Zongshen with 1 million sales (+3.4%) and finally in 10th place Royal Enfield with 948.000 sales (+5.1%).
