SYM Motorcycles global sales shine. In 2023 sales grew up in double-digit with 631.181 sales (+7.7%) the second highest level ever, after the 2020 record. Sales are booming in East Europe.

SYM (Samyang Motor) is the largest Taiwanese motorcycles since 2020 when their global sales overtook those of the rival Kymco and, since 2022, is the leader, first time ever, even in the domestic Taiwanese market.

During the last decade, the Taiwanese manufacturer expanded its global presence, while aggressively approaching the domestic market, with sales increased from 250K in 2015 to over 450K in 2022. In this period, 75% of the growth was captured domestically, while only 25% in foreign operations.

In 2023 sales grew up in double-digit with 631.181 sales (+7.7%) the second highest level ever, after the 2020 record.

While sales are struggling in ASEAN (-21.6%), in all other regions are growing.

In Taiwan sales are up 25.6%, while in Europe 0.1% and in Latam 2+19.2%.

The fastest region is the East Europe (Turkey, Israel, Serbia, Macedonia, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Bosnia and Albania) with a robust +58.4%

SYM is the brand developed by Samyang Motor, a Taipei based motorcycles company, established in 1954 in Hsinchu (Taiwan).

SYM is the largest Taiwanese company to manufacture moped, scooter, motorcycles and ATVs. Moreover, it produces small light commercial vehicles and small cars, under Hyundai name in East Asia.

In 1962, SYM formed a joint venture with Honda, assembling locally the first motorcycle manufacturer in Taiwan. Since now, SYM has produced over 17 million motorcycles/ scooters/ ATVs.

Today, the company annual sales revenue exceeds 1 Billion US dollars and it produces more than 1 million units of motorcycles, under the leadership of Mr. W.H:C Chang the Chairman appointed in the 2014.

SYM actually occupies 2.400 workers in the home-base and overseas locations. It has direct subsidiaries in USA, China, Italy and Germany, while it is producing in Taiwan, China (in Zhong Xing) and Vietnam.
