World Best Selling Motorcycles brands ranking Q1 2025 is dominated by Indian companies. TVS Motor overtakes Yadea keeping the 4th place, while Royal Enfield is the fastest growing among the Top 25 advancing in 8th place.
For the first time we decided to share the ranking of the Top 10 Brands in the World. Please be aware data includes only 2/3 wheeler in the scooter, underbone, moped and motorcycles category. This mean that Tuk Tuk are not included and ATV/RUV or kick scooter neither.
Following the all time record hit in the 2024 with 62.1 million sales, the global motorcycles industry (including registered moped, scooter, motorcycles, underbone) approached the new year with an outstanding start, and the first quarter 2025 was the highest ever reported.
However, looking at the performance by single brand, the score was quite different brand by brand. Considering the Top 10, only the half of them reported growing sales and the others lost volumes.
The market leader Honda, which is on top of the 2-wheeler ranking since half of a century, keeps to surprise not missing any quarter and over performing the market even in Q1 2025, with sales increased 5.2% at 4.9 million. Mongolia (+7500% due the recent start of the operations), Bosnia (+312%) and Chile (+165.3%) as the fastest growing markets
In second place there is the Indian Hero Motor confirming the ranking with 1.36 million sales (-2.1%). The podium of the fastest markets for Hero includes Argentina (+131.4%), Colombia (+112%) and Peru (+68.4%). A clear sign of the current priority in the company’s strategic plan, focused in Latin America operations.
Yamaha stands in third place with 1.15 million sales (-2.0%), skyrocketing in Nicaragua (+87.6%), Moldova (+83.3%) and Albania (+81.8%).
TVS Motor, gains a place and now is the fourth largest manufacturer overtaking the Chinese Yadea with 962.262 sales (+9.4%). Their top growing countries are Vietnam (just recently entered), Argentina and Peru.
Yadea, the EVs specialist, is now in 5th place and keep struggling reflecting the difficulties of the domestic market. Sales have been 781.543 (-5.7%). However, Yadea is fast developing the global network and foreign operations are growing 54%.
Bajaj Auto is in sixth place with 729.258 sales (-1.9%), with Indonesia (+367%), Brazil (+249%) and Poland (+200%) as the fastest growing markets.

Suzuki ranks in seventh place with 507.510 sales (+2.7%), followed by the fastest brand out of the top, Royal Enfield with 273.002 sales (+22.8%).
In 9th place Italika with 254.113 sales (+2.9%) and finally in 10th place Haojue with 262.821 sales (-4.0%).
