As a result, an increasing number of consumers are turning to motorcycles as the most cost-effective form of personal transportation. This dynamic is expected to sustain market growth for at least the next two years.
A distinctive feature of the market remains the limited penetration of electric two-wheelers. Although EV sales rose by 41% in 2025, the segment continues to play only a marginal role in overall volumes.

Among manufacturers, Honda remains the undisputed market leader, although its growth rate (+57.8%) lagged the broader market expansion.
In contrast, several domestic manufacturers recorded significantly stronger growth, including Motomel (+22.0%), Gilera (+53.0%), Keller (+73.6%), Corven (+24.2%), and Zanella (+34.4%).
The strong performance of local brands, along with rapid growth across a broad range of players, suggests a gradual shift away from Honda’s long-standing dominance. This trend is likely to increase competitive intensity, expand consumer choice, and diversify the product offering in the years ahead.
