Italika Motorcycles in 2025 sales hit the 21st all-time record in a row, hitting the 1.3 million with outstanding performance not only in Mexico, but even in Guatemala (+26%) while they are struggling to established stable organization in other Latin America countries.

Italika, the Mexican Motorcycles Manufacturer, in on an astonishing record track since two decades and last year confirmed again the growth.

Born in 2005 in Toluca, State of Mexico, when the motorcycles market in Mexico was very little, grew up year after year creating the Mexican motorcycles market while growing  up and today is one of the top 10 largest 2-wheeler manufacturers worldwide although sales are still for 96% concentrated in Mexico.

In 2025 sales hit the 21st all-time record in a row, hitting the 1.3 million  with outstanding performance not only in Mexico, but even in Guatemala (+26%) while they are struggling to established stable organization in other Latin America countries and are actually represented just in Honduras, but with few sales even declined 1.5% in 2025.

The growth of Mexican market has attracted all main 2-wheeler manufacturers and the surprisingly “defensive” strategy applied by Italika was to start partnership in which produce in its facilities vehicles branded by others, like Hero, Benelli and, since November 2025 Morbidelli.

New Investments

Grupo Salinas has invested over MX$500 million (US$27.6 million) in launching its second motorcycle assembly plant in Mexico, Ensamblika Guadalajara, located in El Salto, Jalisco. The facility will assemble motorcycles from Italika, Hero, and Benelli, focusing on meeting growing demand in northern Mexico.

Spanning 71,000 square meters, the Ensamblika Guadalajara plant features two state-of-the-art production lines and is designed to assemble up to 500,000 motorcycles annually, producing 31 different Italika models. It serves 16 states across Mexico and benefits from its strategic location near the Port of Manzanillo, which helps reduce delivery times. Italika also operates a plant in Toluca, State of Mexico, which has been in operation for 20 years.
