Ecuador Motorcycles Market keeps momentum hitting a new sales record in 2025. Under the Shineray leadership, the market reported sales surged at 259.159, a 20.0% increase from the previous year and this year perspectives are still positive.

Economic Outlook

Ecuador possesses significant economic potential, thanks to its comparative advantages in hydrocarbons, mining, agriculture, and tourism. However, between 2015 and 2024, average annual growth was just 1.1%.

This modest performance is attributed to factors such as oil price volatility, the impact of COVID-19, climate-related disasters, fiscal vulnerabilities, fluctuations in electricity supply, and deteriorating security conditions. Structural issues—including rigid labor regulations, price distortions, trade and investment barriers, and educational gaps—continue to hinder development.

GDP is projected to have rebound by 2.3% in 2025, following a 2.0% contraction in 2024. This recovery is supported by reduced political uncertainty, improved energy supply, and diminished fiscal risks. The external surplus is expected to narrow in the coming years due to rising imports, reflecting stronger domestic demand. Inflation is anticipated to remain low, consistent with the stability provided by the dollarization regime in place since 2000.
