Global Sales Performance
Royal Enfield is a great success story started when, during the 2013, the owner, Eicher Motor, an Indian company specialized in commercial vehicles, decided to build a new and modern plant in Oragadam (India), the base for volume expansion.
The job done in the last 12 years is outstanding and if in 2012 Royal Enfield global sales had been only 113K, 99.9% made in India, in the fiscal year 2025 the company achieved the milestone of 1 million sales.
The company have created a wide range of models, all focusing on a “retro” style and based on only three engines (350cc, 500cc and 650cc) with a unique attention to all the details relevant to create a brand value and perception, outstanding for an Indian company.
The advantage to have lower cost of production is relevant, but not essential into the Royal Enfield success. The ability to differentiate the offer expanding the product line up through differentiation the basic motorcycle’s components and creating more and more models, while marginally increasing the production cost is a unique ability shown by RE Team in these years.
The 2025 was a fabulous year for the company which established the third sales record in a stripe, outpacing the 1 million sales milestone and hitting 1.18 million sales, with an amazing +26.7% at global level.
In India the company was the best performing ICE manufacturer with a +24.9%, but international sales growth was even more relevant with an outstanding +46%.
