Kawasaki Global Sales Performance is disappointing. Following the deep lost in 2020, the recovery is very slow and even in 2024, after the first 8 months, global registrations of 2-wheelers are growing only 1.4%, although a strong performance in Europe.

McD tracks new vehicles registrations across the World (over 85 countries), reporting data on calendar year. When you wish to compare data reported by us to those declared by the manufacturers, consider they usually report their “sales” (vehicles invoiced), which are usually different from “registrations”, accordingly with their fiscal year split.

Kawasaki Global Sales Trend

Kawasaki is well known as the Japanese motorcycles manufacturers specialized in racing and extreme vehicles and most of sales derive from this portion of the market, while in few countries, they distribute under their brand low-cost indian-made motorcycles, we not benefit for the image and arguable effects o n profits.

Global 2-wheeler sales hit the all-time record in 2019 at 574.618 units, before to sharply decline in the following year, due to the global market decline hit by covid19.

Since 2021 a slow recovery is in place, but is well below all main competitors and even in 2024, after the first 8 months of the year, sales are increasing a shy 1.4%, projecting the year still below the half a million sales.

While sales are growing fast in West Europe (+17.2%), East Europe (+58.6%) and in South and Central America (+15.0%) in other regions the performance is disappointing, in particular in China, with a -39.3% so far.
