Australian two-wheeler market (not including powersport) is mature and generally stable. It was steady between the 70 and the 80 thousand units.

In 2020 the covid emergency created an acceleration to the demand for 2-wheeler and the market grew up for 24 months, up to 103.793 sales in 2021. However, coming back at normality, sales started to decline.

In 2023 total sales have been 91.588 (-2.2%) with the scooter segment declining a little more (-5.2%) and the motorcycle a little less (-1.8%).

The electric segment is growing with L1 segment up 13.4% and L3 up 51.8%.

Looking at the single manufacturer, the leader is – since ever – Honda, although in 2023 lost 2.3%.

In second place, Yamaha with sales down 5.4% is ahead of KTM (-7.3%), Kawasaki (-18.2%), Suzuki (-18.2%) and Harley-Davidson (-0.8%).
