Netherlands Motorcycles Market struggles. In Q3 2023 the new vehicles registrations have been again negative by 20.4% with Year to Date 2023 figures at 48.844 (-28.6%).
The Netherlands Motorcycles Industry Trend and Perspectives
Following two years of decline, the Dutch 2-Wheeler market is projecting a deep fall in the 2023 as well, due to the crisis of scooter segment, which represents over two-third of the industry.
After ending the first half with a sharp -36.2%, in Q3 the new vehicles registrations have been again negative by 20.4% with Year to Date 2023 figures at 48.844 (-28.6%).
While the motorcycles segment is losing a little 5.9%, the scooter segment falls 35.3%, with most significant fall in the 2-50cc and 51-125cc classes.
The trend is confirmed by the electric L1 segment (-45.4%), due to short supply for all manufactures.
Looking at top manufacturer’s performance, La Souris Commercial is the new leader with sales down 20.9%, better than the former leader, Piaggio which is down 42.1%.
In third place SYM lost 32.9% while in 4th place Yamaha lost only the 8.4%.
