Israel Motorcycles Market keeps growing. Sales have been 24.022, up 7.2% vs the 2020 hitting the sixth annual record in a string, first time over the 20.000. The Japanese Yamaha and Honda are challenging the traditional leadership taken by SYM and Kymco.

Motorcycles Market Trend in 2021

Israel represents the largest motorcycles industry in the Levant and Middle East (not including North Africa) and in recent years reported a steady positive path.

However annual new 2-wheeler (data reported includes the powersport and the 3Ws) sales volume is low and the market ranks over the 50th place worldwide.

Following the moderately positive 2020, when sales increased a mere 2%, in the 2021 sales accelerated, pushed up by the renovated demand for individual mobility and the year ended hitting the new all time record.

The market is dominated by three brands, SYM, Yamaha and Kymco which hold together 57% of market share. 

The market leader, since a decade – a part the 2015 – is the Taiwanese SYM and it is confirming the place this year although sales declined -1.5%.

In second place for the first time the Japanese Yamaha (+21.6%) overtaking the other Japanese Honda (+54.7%), which is for the first time in the podium, overtaking the Taiwanese Kymco, (-12.8%).

Behind, Kawasaki, Polaris (not including Indian Motorcycles) and KTM.
