Motorcycles Market Trend in 2021
Israel represents the largest motorcycles industry in the Levant and Middle East (not including North Africa) and in recent years reported a steady positive path.
However annual volume are low and the market ranks over the 50th place worldwide.
Following the moderately positive 2020, when sales increased a mere 2%, in the 2021 sales are supported by demand for individual mobility and are projecting the new all time record.
After the first nine months of the year, sales have been 16.625, up 16.0% vs the 2020 and 20.8% vs the 2019 and this will be the time to hit the annual volume of 20k.
The market is dominated by three brands, SYM, Yamaha and Kymco which hold together 56% of market share.
The market leader, since a decade – a part the 2015 – is the Taiwanese SYM and it is confirming the place this year with sales increased 3.9%,
In second place for the first time the Japanese Yamaha (+19.2%) overtaking the other Taiwanese Kymco, (+3.4%), ahead of Honda (+52.5%), KTM (+18.1%) and Kawasaki (-7.7%).
