Argentine Motorcycles Market finally gave a sign of recovery i September after 25 months of decline. October confirmed the new trend and motorcycles sales have been 29.014, up 23.4% with year to date figures at 219.023 (-23.4%).
Two-Wheeler market in October
Following a neverending declining story, in September the motorcycles industry reported the first positive year on year score (+49.5%) ending the Q3 2020 with a moderate y.o.y. increase (+1.7%).
October confirmed the new trend and new motorcycles sales have been 29.014, up 23.4% with year to date figures at 219.023 (-23.4%).
Brand-wise, in the first ten months of the year, Honda is on top of the list with 50.992 sales (-23.4%), followed by Motomel with 29.417 (-20.4%) and Corven with 28.324 (-13.0%).
In fourth place Gilera with 23.464 (+12.6%) ahead of Keller with 13.777 (-29.7%) and Yamaha with 13.410 (-29.6%).
Market Outlook 2020-2025
In Argentina, as in all the other main motorcycles industry, the demand for individual mobility has been boosted by covid19. and when the local economy would come out from the persistent economic crisis, this will be one of the fastest growing industry in the country.
The 2020 will end with a huge decline, actually foreseen at 260.000 units down 60.000 units from the previous year and 440.000 from the 2013 all time record.
However the outlook for the 2021-2025 is positive and the country could be the fastest growing in the entire Latam region.
